You’ve put so much effort into writing something wonderful that encapsulates all of your research and ideas.  You want to avoid losing points or irritating your reader (uh, me) unnecessarily.  This blog is intended to highlight the common mistakes/pitfalls I found among L2 field trip reports, L2 dissertation proposals, L3 dissertations, and post-grad essays.  This blog is intended as a summary only, I’m not using examples from any particular student, but rather a reflection of the most common mistakes I found.  This blog should only be used as background information, it’s not doctrine, and advice from your supervisor should always take precedence.
